Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GreatJob (the "Service"), operated by [Legal Entity Name] ("GreatJob", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

GreatJob is a career-coaching platform. Depending on your plan, it gives you a target-first Resume Builder, a LinkedIn profile optimizer, Interview Prep (practice questions plus AI-tailored answer scripts), a Story Bank for building reusable STAR-format stories, an Application tracker, paid 1:1 mentor coaching sessions, and Academy learning content.

Several of these features use artificial intelligence to draft, rewrite, or analyze text you provide (see Section 7). GreatJob is a tool to help you prepare — it does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or any hiring outcome.

You must be at least 16 years old to use GreatJob. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement and that any information you give us (your email, your career details) is accurate.

You sign in with a passwordless email link or with Google sign-in; we don't store a separate GreatJob password. You're responsible for keeping access to your email or Google account secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

GreatJob offers a Free plan and paid Pro, Expert, and Student plans, billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access to your paid plan's features until the end of the period you already paid for. We don't prorate mid-cycle cancellations.

See our Refund Policy for when a payment is refundable. We may change plan pricing going forward; we'll give you notice before a price change affects your next renewal.

Some plans include, or let you separately purchase, 1:1 sessions with a mentor/coach. Booking a paid session charges you once through Stripe for that session; it is not a subscription.

When a session is booked, GreatJob automatically creates a calendar event with a Google Meet video link and sends a calendar invite to you and your coach. Rescheduling and cancellation terms are set out in our Refund Policy.

Features like resume bullet rewriting, LinkedIn analysis, interview script generation, and Story Bank drafting send the specific text you're working on to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic's Claude) to generate a response, and show that response back to you.

AI output can be wrong, generic, or not quite right for your situation — it's a first draft, not a final answer. You're responsible for reviewing and editing anything AI-assisted before you use it in a real application, resume, or interview.

Most of your career content — job targets, resume drafts, tracked applications, and Story Bank entries — is stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers (see our Privacy Policy for exactly what we do store). You own this content.

By submitting content to an AI feature, you grant us a limited license to send that specific content to our AI provider solely to generate the response you asked for. We don't use your career content to train AI models, and we don't sell it.

Don't: attempt to access another user's account or data; scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service; upload unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful content (including a fraudulent proof of enrollment, see Section 10); or interfere with the Service's normal operation.

The Student plan requires proof of current enrollment, which we review manually before approving student pricing. Submitting false or altered proof of enrollment is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination and retroactive billing at the standard plan rate.

GreatJob and its branding, software, and platform design belong to [Legal Entity Name]. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you. You retain ownership of the career content you create.

GreatJob is built on and relies on third-party providers, including Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI features), Google (calendar and video-call scheduling for bookings), and Cloudflare (hosting). Your use of features backed by these providers is also subject to each provider's own terms.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee that coaching advice, AI-generated content, or use of the Service will result in a job offer, an interview, or any specific career outcome. Coaching and AI features are meant to supplement, not replace, your own judgment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Legal Entity Name] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12 months] before the claim arose.

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. If we terminate your account for cause, we may not owe you a refund for the current billing period.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you before they take effect. Continuing to use GreatJob after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
