Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information GreatJob (operated by [Legal Entity Name]) collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. It covers the GreatJob web app at every domain we operate it from.

Account information: your email address and sign-in method (passwordless email link, or Google sign-in), handled by our authentication provider, Supabase.

Billing and subscription status: your current plan (Free, Pro, Expert, or Student), billing interval, and renewal date. Payments themselves are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.

Bookings: if you book a mentor session, we store the session time, the coach, and the attendee email needed to run it, and we create a corresponding Google Calendar event with a Meet link on your behalf.

Student verification: if you apply for the Student plan, we store the proof-of-enrollment file you upload and its review status, used only to approve or deny that discount.

Career content: your job targets, resume drafts, tracked applications, and Story Bank entries are stored locally in your own browser (in what's called localStorage) — not on our servers. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. We only see this content if you actively submit it to an AI feature (next point).

AI feature inputs: when you use a rewrite, analysis, or drafting feature, the specific text you submit is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate a response. We don't keep a permanent copy of these requests beyond what's needed to return the result to you.

Basic technical data: standard web request information (like IP address and browser type), handled as part of normal traffic through our hosting provider, Cloudflare.

To operate the Service: authenticate you, run your subscription, schedule your bookings, and generate the AI features you request.

To communicate with you: respond to support requests and send account-related notices (like a booking confirmation).

To improve GreatJob: understand which features are used and where things break.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your career content or job search activity with employers, recruiters, or coaches beyond what's needed to run a booked session.

We share information only with the service providers needed to run GreatJob, each only for the purpose described: Supabase (accounts, database, file storage), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI feature processing), Google (calendar and video-call scheduling for bookings), and Cloudflare (hosting and network security). We don't sell data to advertisers or data brokers.

We keep account, subscription, and booking data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. Career content stored in your browser stays there under your own control — you can delete it any time by clearing your browser's site data, independent of your GreatJob account.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the account-level data we hold about you (email, subscription, booking history) by contacting us at [support@yourdomain.com]. We'll confirm and act on verified requests within a reasonable time, subject to what we're legally required to retain.

GreatJob is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Our service providers (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, Google, Cloudflare) operate internationally, which means your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Each provider maintains its own safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Traffic to GreatJob is encrypted in transit. Our database uses row-level security so each account can only read its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you before they take effect.
